Trigger Effect (movie review) Essay Example For Students
Trigger Effect (film survey) Essay The Trigger Effect Kyle MacLachlan, Elizabeth Shue, and Dermot Mulroney star in this West Coast power-blackout spine chiller. Phones, communicate signs, and everything electric glimmer out in seven US states, however each of the 50 states become focuses of author/executive David Koepps social subjects. Koepp, creator of contents for Apartment Zero and Carlitos Way, states a few pleasantly engaged messages about our societys absence of trust in collaboration and neighbors, just as our dependence on the quick feeling of insurance guns give. Koepp additionally makes his directoral debut here, uncovering a sharp eye for dramatization, yet making not exactly acceptable utilization of his areas. The last item is an attentive picture that is abnormal for its kind. This is a confused story. The story starts with a spat at a neighborhood film house between a youthful couple and a couple of men over a spilled soda. The situation is organized so that we experience issues understanding the progr essive ascent in threats between the two gatherings, and start to think about whether they themselves comprehend the disagreement. After this obvious non-occasion, the couple return home. Matt and Annie (the couple, played by MacLachlan and Shue) stir having lost activity of all family unit utilities, including TV and radio. Annie finds that their baby young lady has another ear contamination, so Matt goes to nearby drug store to get the childs common anti-microbial. There, Matt is engaged with one more quarrel. He and Annie are before long joined by Joe (Mulroney), an old companion who brings talk of plundering and shootings going on in the city. Annie recommends a kind of sleep party for the three grown-ups. Koepp then uses a sexual pressure among Joe and Annie to amplify the miscommunication in Matt and Annies marriage. Occasions get more stunning still, so these three conclude that their neighborhood is not, at this point safe, and hit the street to get away from the city. A few characters leave behind chances to put their trust in others choices that consistently lead to the most exceedingly awful conceivable situation. Koepp says his anxiety was with the job of manliness in the advanced age. His point is clarified when Matt gets called a stud twice; when he takes from a store, and a second time as congrats for his acquisition of a rifle. Koepps portrayal recommends that amicability is discovered just when contradicting powers discover the boldness to set out their arms and take care of issues together. In a bigger setting, he feels that such cooperation is additionally the necessity of a general public so subject to innovations that may fall flat abruptly, the very setting of his image. Our general public has become so innovatively propelled that nobody individual can completely get a handle on how everything functions, he alerts. We should confide in others to comprehend and keep up the gadgets that influence such a large amount of our lives. The other option, as he cautions during the movies opening shot of wolves tearing at a body in the evening glow, is a more crude presence than the vast majority of us would pick. While Koepps topics are moved nimbly, the story itself turns into somewhat of a bother. Each succession feels like a preface to fear of epic size. Also, when the fundamental characters enter the more extensive scene of the open country, Koepp has his canvas for extending his narrating. Rather, he recoils the dramatization, and we feel as though were viewing a cutting edge profound quality play as opposed to a film. By and by, The Trigger Effect will never lose your advantage. Koepps sharp editorial on our relationship to the two weapons and neighbors is more fulfilling than subjects normally found in todays spine chillers. The troupe, which incorporates Bill Smitrovich, Michael Rooker, and Richard T. Jones, assists the reason with conceivable representations of frenzy. There is also evident that UAE is adopting a consumer-oriented lifestyle that is being buoyed through the numerous oil revenues, a multinational workforce that is growing at a fast rate as well as massive infrastructure development. Previously, UAE was known to be a conservative country where any foreign culture presence was viewed with a lot of suspicion. However, this is slowing changing and the people of UAE are embracing these foreign cultures through appreciating them. This new culture is also creating valuable and viable export opportunities for many countries that deal with the agri-food and agriculture industry (Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, 2010).The UAE is a seven emirates, or states federation that borders the Arabian Gulf. The country is also surround by Oman, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar. Together, Ajman, Ras al-Khaimah, Fujairah, Umm al-Qaiwain, Sharjah, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi occupy nearly 83,000 square kilometers. The country has a coastline that measures 700 kilometers along the Gulf of Oman and the Persian Gulf. UAE is a paramount distribution hub for some European countries, India, Eastern Africa, and the Middle Esat because of its unique location (Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, 2010).UAE is the second economic powerhouse in the region and it was initially dependent on fishing, pearling, nomadic animal husbandry, and subsistence farming. The oil discovery in the 1960s drastically changed the future of UAE due to the revenue that was provided from selling oil and it escalated the fortunes of the federations economy to what it is presently. UAE is the second economic powerhouse in the region after Saudi Arabia (Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, 2010).UAE experiences harsh climatic conditions, which have affected its efforts of ensuring stable food self-sufficiency since only nearly 16% of the countrys f ood requirements are locally produced. Some of the products that are locally produced include vegetables, some fruits, seafood, poultry and eggs, and dairy. There are nearly 160 processing facilities in this country and they produce dairy products, confectionery, pasta, snack foods, juices, soft drinks, and vegetable oils. This situation presents viable opportunities through imports in meeting the countrys deficit in food and beverage products requirements. The food service sector in particular, is an area that is growing very fast due to the tourism industry expansion and the noble foreign workforce influence as stated by Reiser (2011). 2.2 Factors affecting consumer behaviors towards green productsUAE largely depends on international trade in order to foster its continuing expansion. It is evident that there is growth in food imports in the country due to the economy demands. The people of UAE are nowadays embracing green products due to the awareness creation of the numerous ben efits of the products. The huge foreign workforce influence in UAE has also led to the people of UAE to change some of their preferences and this provides great import opportunities to various investors. The media has also played an integral role in educating the people of UAE on the merits of consuming green products (Neiva de Figueiredo Guillen, 2011). Advertising has also led to this dramatic consumption of the green products to the people of UAE and they are experiencing what they had been missing before. The tourism industry is another sector that has also led to this emergence of consumption of green products by the people of UAE since they offer menus on the same which is encouraging. These noble factors have been able to influence greatly the consumer behavior of the people of UAE towards consumption of green products (Al Iannuzi, 2011).UAE has been able to import various green products such as green tea, non-alcoholic beverages, vegetable and fruit juice, wheat flour, and sweet biscuits. In regards to agri-food imports, UAE has also been able to import ice cream, shelled lentils, peas, non-durum wheat, and canola seeds. Seafood has also been significantly imported by UAE and they include live mussles, ambergris, frozen sablefish, and frozen and live lobster. There are other promising areas such as pork products, wild blueberries, beef, and maple syrup (Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, 2010).2.3 Price consciousness and purchasing decision towards green productsThe UAE (United Arab Emirates) has lately become a paramount natural gas and oil producer and it ranks seventh worldwide for both proven natural gas and proven natural oil reserves. These resources revenues has allowed for significant economic and social development in various areas such as welfare, health, housing, transportation, education, business, and finance. These finances have also empowered significantly the people of UAE and they have the purchasing power for green products. The peop le of UAE are also adventurous and they want to taste new trends such as green products since they have the knowledge that green products are good for consumption. This has also led to a positive consumer behavior towards green products to the people of UAE (Jansson-Boyd, 2010).UAE has also been able to establish a series of free zones in various centers across the country. These free zones have economic incentives that include import/export duties exemption, and corporate taxes exemptions which attract many investors in the country. Such incentives also encourage commercial development and investment in specific sectors and this has led to the country gaining reputation as being a tourist, financial, and trading hub in the region. On the other hand, Abu Dhabi is gradually expanding beyond its noble petrochemical center and it is becoming a hub for defence, aerospace, information technology and green and environmental energy industries. Abu Dhabi and Dubai have also gained media hea dlines as being the regions hub for the banking, tourism, and petroleum sectors as well as the construction of mega-projects. The UAE is slowly adapting the western culture of working hours, which consists of working between 9 am to 5 pm whereas it follows the Muslim tradition of not working on Friday since it is a resting day. This preference of the western culture is also influencing the people of UAEs consumer behavior towards green products because they are gradually changing their preference (Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, 2010).2.4.The effects of product attributes on consumer behaviorPolitical StructureUAE has for a long period being regarded as the major economic hub in the region and it started to prosper in the 1960s after the end of the agreements that it had with United Kingdom. In addition, the same period saw UAE export its first oil in the 1960s, which evidently fostered its development. By 1971, the new UAE was created with the process of establishing an administr ative and political structure that combined both contemporary and traditional values. UAE has a federal system of governance constitutionally that includes the Federal Judiciary, Federal National Council, Council of Ministers, and Supreme Council. The top most federal authority is vested in the Supreme Council and it possess both executive and legislative powers. The Supreme Council consists of each emirates rulers where it elects the cabinet of ministers, Vice President, and the President (Reiser, 2011). It is paramount to note that, the political structure has also influenced consumer behavior of the people of UAE towards green products since initially it had ensured that the people of this country maintained a conservative culture. 3.2. Although there are many instances where various international development programs are being incorporated into the national development plan, in this dissertation I present a case study on the integration of the MDGs into the Indonesiaââ¬â¢s national development plan as a specific example where the Indonesian government takes a proactive role in integrating an international development agenda into its national development plan. 3.2.1. Why MDGs? Aside from the MDGs being the first comprehensively outlined global development goals that were agreed by UN member states, the fact that they provide specific indicators illustrate that the MDGs are able to provide the initial frameworks for developing countries to achieve development objectives deemed as important by setting specific goals and targeted indicators which statutory countries have pledged to fulfil by the end of 2015. The multi-dimensional nature of what consist of development as outlined in the MDGs will also enable us to incorporate a more holistic view of development, as opposed to the traditional interpretation of development that almost exclusively refers to economic progress. Although there are some exceptions like A Case of Identity in which Holmes does not leave Baker Street, Holmes usually attends to the crime scene to investigate. He wastes no time in doing so: Holmes visits the scene of the crime, and he does so with rapidity (Holeman). Time and again, the original puzzle is of lower import than the latter. Holeman notes that The duo takes the investigation to the scene of the crime, or the site where the crime is to be committed. Myers Essays - Questionnaire, Survey Methodology, Myers,
Myers Myers did would not have hurt others in any way whatsoever. Had his actions not been silenced they could have led to the discovery of the true opinions of employees, which could have possibly led to changes in office procedures. Granted, Myers questionnaire could have possibly offended managers in the office, but according to Mill, all controversial speech causes offense and this is not an excuse for censorship. Speech offends people that do not agree with it and if we permit the majority to censor anything and everything that they do not agree with, we run the risk of silencing a possible truth. In Myers case, it is possible that Connick disagreed with both the questionnaire itself, and the results that came from it. Terminating Myers was a way for Connick to censor speech that disagreed with his own beliefs. Furthermore, Myers became an example to other employees, illustrating what could happen to them if they attempted to speak out against the attitudes of company hierarchy. I agree with Mill's logic because I do not think the government, an employer, or anybody else should have the right to silence peoples opinions. Myers questionnaire, regardless of what it said, was a statement in free speech. Even had he sent out an article denouncing Connick there would still be no excuse for his termination. Freedom of speech includes the right of expression. Look in any newspaper from the past two weeks and you will most surely find some sort of political cartoon making fun of one of the presidential candidates in this years election. I agree with Mill that the protection of free speech is necessary in order to reveal the true truth. What I mean is that everyday scientists are coming up with new proven theories about this effect or that, all of which are written up as truths in scientific journals. Then, twenty years down the road, a new theory arises and the old truth becomes a falsity. The same is the case with Myers. By silencing him, Connick prevents the possi bility of improvement within the office. If progress becomes stagnant, office procedures will become outdated and useless. With time, this can eventually lead to the destruction of the entire office. On the other hand, by permitting Myers to distribute his questionnaire and then report his findings to a higher power, he ends up helping the company by pointing out weak points within the office so that they may be corrected. The silencing of Myers speech puts all Americans civil liberties at risk and this must be stopped before censorship takes over and we find our wonderful Democracy transforming into a dictatorship. Teaching and Ethics When It Is the Teacher Who Is Taking the Test
Teaching and Ethics When It Is the Teacher Who Is Taking the Test It goes without saying that the work of a teacher is by far one of the most demanding and responsible ones of all. That is why, the ethical principles are supposed to be followed especially well in the field of teaching, given the fact that a teacher is responsible not only for the knowledge that the students are going to obtain, but also for establishing certain moral rules for children, teenagers and young adults.Advertising We will write a custom research paper sample on Teaching and Ethics: When It Is the Teacher Who Is Taking the Test specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More Thus, it is most logical to suggest that the ethical problems are the rarest occasions in the realm of teaching; however, if taking a closer look at the profession, one will see that teaching presupposes fighting great ethical dilemmas. The first ethical issue to consider is students cheating on tests. It happens everywhere, but the question is whether a teacher shou ld fail an A+ student with a pony in his/her hand, or let it fly. In the given case, student-teacher relationships and the teacherââ¬â¢s morals matter much. Since studying and teaching is not only about the process of learning, but also about the ability of building relationships among students and teachers, the second ethical dilemma that a teacher can possibly face is dealing with out-of-favor students. No matter how well the teaching process can go, there will always be the students a teacher likes best and those whom (s)he does not like at best. As a result, during the exam, all hell breaks loose when an out-of-favor student starts to answer. Considering the situation, one must admit that, on the one hand, the teacher is supposed to ask questions, demand the best performance and grade students ââ¬Å"Fâ⬠if they do to deliver it. On the other hand, when only the ââ¬Å"out-of-favorâ⬠students get a cold shoulder, the teacher is simply wrong. Finally, it is worth tou ching upon another aspect of teachersââ¬â¢ abusing their power. Obviously, a teacher is no robot and has the right to be emotional; however, exposing the students to the teacherââ¬â¢s negativity is a no-no situation. For the problem to be clear, it is worth checking a specific case. Supposedly, Mr. Jackson had a very bad day and his spirits are lower than ever. Entering the class, he starts talking to the students in a very rude manner and scolding them down. Whenever any of the students makes the slightest slip, the teacher answers sharply. In the given situation, it is easy to understand both parties; however, it is still the teacherââ¬â¢s fault hat (s)he lets emotions rule. However, an emotionless teacher is an equally unpleasant option. Thus, whether a teacher should be a human being with his/her bad days, or an emotionless robot is another dilemma.Advertising Looking for research paper on education? Let's see if we can help you! Despite the firmly established standards for teachers to act in certain situations, one must admit that all rules fall flat when it comes to solving a really ambiguous situation. Sometimes, as it has been shown above, the guilty party seems much more worthy of sympathy than the one that has the point; hence the ambiguity of a teacherââ¬â¢s profession (Campbell) and the necessity to have incredible diplomatic skills to handle every single situation the right way. What is definitely clear is that a teacher must follow the principle of justice whenever (s)he stumbles upon a complicated problem. Campbell, Elisabeth. Human Resources in Business Case Study Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words
Human Resources in Business - Case Study Example Other rewards might be social gatherings for different departments, free access to sports clubs or events, and gift packages for vacations or weekend getaways. Both controlling costs and promoting fairness are equally important in designing a reward system. I believe the key to a successful organization is to try and balance between the controlling costs and promoting fairness. The above mentioned company for which I worked 5 years and in two different countries, the reward system, the bonuses in particular were adjusted several times. This, though, was not as a result of the modifying organizational strategies, but a change made in order to respond adequately to the extra money that employees were earning. The statistics showed that some employees are earning the same bonus as the amount of their salary and senior managers decided to change the bonus system, so that greater revenues stays with the company. Therefore, on the various new reward systems that were introduced, hard-working employees who reached their target each month received fewer bonuses. I had experience in job evaluation schemes and I think I was lucky to have a great team leader, who encouraged me to develop the skills that I lacked and gave me the confidence to relate to the job position. The positive aspects might be that although you know that you are performing well, you still need another point of view of your achievements. Employees are not able to look their work from aside so job evaluation is a good way to adjust the barometer of the performed job. A negative aspect might be that everyone has been evaluated under the same criteria, which is very general, and sometimes subjective. Therefore, people, who have different attitude, abilities, predispositions are evaluated under the same common denominator, which destroys the individuality and divides employees into already set

The property and financial difficulties of a divorced couple Case Study
The property and financial difficulties of a divorced couple - Case Study Example Divorce has always been a complex and controversial subject for couples. For the most part, the issues concerning property, pension or children complicate relationships and adversely impinge on families including the children. The case of Jenny and Ted is not different compared to others who had to deal with the issue of property during or after the divorce is filed. However, if amicable settlement is not reached by the couple, the laws in the United Kingdom with regards family, divorce and property are very clear on this issue.First the Matrimonial Causes Act 1973 sets out the foundation for divorce and is also the major law England and Wales which stipulates the creation of ancillary relief -the financial payment to a marriage party after a couple files for a divorce, nullity of marriage or separation. The claimant of the ancillary relief should present her claim (in this case, Jenny) to a court in England or Wales in order for the court to resolve pecuniary issues which arise from the divorce. 1This is specified in Section 23 & 24 of the Matrimonial Causes Act 1973 which states that the court is empowered to create financial and property provision orders when a couple is granted a divorce. This provision indicates that a party to a marriage shall pay, in forms of securities, bonds or share, or in unsecured lump sums, the other party. Section 24 of the aforementioned act likewise gives the courts in England and Wales the power to order the sale of property which is intended for ancillary relief. The courts in England and Wales have been given this authority since 1970's which bestow them the powers to transfer ownership of property and order a party to make payments to the other party. This authority requires that the courts must assess whether the pecuniary relationship between the couple must be ordered immediately ceased or terminated. 2Payment to the other party in a marriage is ordered by the court in a form of maintenance or in a form of a clean break order which bars the litigant from making further claims in a form of ancillary relief. This payment is also referred to as maintenance orders which can be given to the other party on 'nominal basis' or specific terms. However, the court can review this order any time so as to match the ongoing adjustments in financial ability of the parties who filed for a divorce. The terms and particular dates and arrangements for maintenance orders are usually specified by the courts (Kempton & Theobold 2001). Other various orders which the court can create on their discretion and ones which are contextually related to the family law include Property Adjustment Order in which the courts are given a wide discretion on how the property will be divided and in what shares. The court also has the power to order the auction of the matrimonial home of the couple. Furthermore, a variety of options are open to the courts of England and Wales in order to settle dispute on property. These factors are listed on Section 25 of the Matrimonial Causes Act 1973 so that the courts may serve well and judiciously the interest of both parties in a marriage or serve the best interest of the children. The possible orders that courts can make are in fact limitless and they are created in specific circumstances (Kempton & Theobold 2001). The idea of fair and equal distribution of property has its precedence on the landmark cases decided by courts of England and Wales or the House of Lords. One such case is the famous White v White 2001 in which the House of Lords ordered a controversial redistribution of the couple's finances and property after the divorce. Lord Nicholls, a member of the House has set precedence in his speech which would later on specify the acts with regards division of assets. Nicholls stated in his speech that in all cases, judges must practice judiciousness and ensure their provisional judgment (on assets distribution) regarding the "yardstick of equality of division". This does not mean

I am A Muslim In America David Poku My name is Ahil, my name is from Arabic decent and means Prince. I was born very dark skinned. I am now 21 years old man living in America and I am Muslim, it is for this reason that I have been both blessed and cursed. As a Muslim, we are just like most any people aside from the fact that we are not entitled to drink alcohol, have any type of pork, and no sex outside of marriage. I live in Austin, TX. The people here are very different yet in many instances can seem to be the exact same. The word Muslim is an Arabic word that means ââ¬Å"One who submits to Allah and Allah as the one and only one God with no partner, no son, no companion, no associate, and no equivalence.â⬠(). I came to America for an opportunity that I could not be granted in the place of my birth. Since I could remember I have aspired to be a great car salesman. When I was young and living in Jordan, everyone always spoke of doing whatever they could to try and get an opportunity to come and find success in t his so called wonderful place called America, but I am here to tell my fellow people that why there is a great set of opportunities beset upon those who travel here, there is also two sides to this story. My religion is a s just a part of me as the air that I breathe, or the food that I eat, or the very water that I drink, but for the life of me, I have tried to in almost every way possible to conceal this. All of the stories and the things that I heard from the place of my birth were crammed with positive affirmations of achieving a dream that can be attained with hard work and time, but like I said before there is two sides to every story. When I came here, I was told that people were more accepting to various cultures, but after a terrorist incident that the people in America call 9/11, the public eye has since seemed to scrutinize people who follow the Islamic foundations. Apparently the people tied to the terrorist attack were of Middle Eastern decent and because of that fact the masses of America seemed to have all adopted the inconsistent notion that these people followed this religion. This is the first curse and a blessing that I have been brought acknowledge. The ignorance of people permeates me, I have tried to educate the few that I was unfortunate enough to engage in a conversation that dealt with this, thinking that maybe if I educate a few the word would somehow get out and spread to those who belief this faulty notion that everyone who is Muslim is a part of some secret terrorist regime and cannot be trusted. Five years passed as I spread the word to many and many more. I started my own church and preached the true word of Islam to everyone, it didnââ¬â¢t matter what religion they were, what the color of their skin was, or what the once thought before, as long as I could burden them with the truth. Do not be confused, I was not pressing my religions beliefs to change or convert the religion ideologies of others, I just wanted to let everyone know the true meaning of y religious foundation. I was now 26 years old, with a wife, Sara, and 2 kids, and I had spread around 3 different church facilities in Austin. My boy who was 6 years olds name was Aaban, and my daughter, who was 8, was named Manha. One day I was taking my family to the airport to go visit the place of my birth. I realized something very peculiar, as we were boarding, the people in the airport stared at my family, as if we were doing something wrong. You see some people can easily identify Muslim people sometimes; my wife and daughter were wearing Shawls that day. In the Muslim religion, women are supposed to cover their hair as means of being modest. Many people in American may not know or understand this. As a people we tend to fear or express caution to things we do not understand. It was then and only then did I realize that no matter how many ears I reached with my initiative to spread the true meaning of Islam that it would not change a thing. These people seem to hold the people who identify with Muslim as a whole responsible for the terrorist attack that took place on 9/11. It was because of the realization of this fact that I handed off the ownership/pastoring of my churches to another individual who I had met that was willing to take it over. I sought to become the car salesman that I had always aspired to be. I sent out more than a thousand applications in one month, driving from place to place. I met with over 100 managers for different car salesman jobs, and on my own free time took all the spare time I had to learn about cars. Every single meeting I went to, I was met with a sort of indifferent look, that always followed wit where are you from? By the time I was 30, I knew everything there was to know about cars, I even at times impressed interviewees that were questioning me because I had known things that their staff did not, but one small fact remained, I still had not found a job. I was beginning to lose hope, but my nature was to strive for success at any cost, I could not let my family down. One day when I was at a Starbucks parking lot, I saw a very young man with the hood of what looked like his car up and there were clouds of smoke engulfing the engine. I went over for assistance, and saw that this man was a well versed with car mechanics, yet he was flawed with one aspect of what he was doing. I asked the young man if I could fix his car for him. I saw a very arrogant smile on his face, and he said you can give it a try. Ten minutes later I had his car running. When I waked to go shut the hood of his car, I was met with a very firm handshake of another man, an older man, the man looked familiar. He shook my hand, and said, I thank you for fixing my car. He looked at my kind of funny and said: ââ¬Å"arenââ¬â¢t you the man who started that set of churches a couple years back?â⬠I replied yes, but I am no longer running those churches. The man replied: ââ¬Å" I have always was admired your way with people and wanted to tell you about an opportunity. You see.. I run a car dealership wanted to see if you would be interested in working with me? I smiled and told the man, that the foundation of Islamic faith is peace and at this very moment I have found it, through all of the prejudice, the ignorance that has beset itself upon my family and I, I am now in a place where I can surrender myself to my god and derive peace and it is for that, that I thank you. So this message is for everyone that plans to come to America, this is the other side of the story, you will be faced with prejudice, with people who fear you because they do not understand you, you will hesitate and may start to resent your decent or question your religion, but I am here to tell you when you find peace you will finally see that the curse is a blessing in disguise. Shakespeares Childhood :: essays research papers
Life as a Child in the Renaissance à à à à à There have been many classic rag-to-riches stories, and while they may seem almost clichà ©, there are so few that are overlooked. For example, many musicians in the rock era who we know today grew up in lesser homes, and they struggled to earn a dime. Elton John, as well known and wealthy as he is today, spent the greater part of 10 years fighting diligently to fill small clubs to make a living off of his wonderful musical talent. While it may be hard for many people to believe, not all quintessential icons in our day were bathed from golden faucets in oversized mansions; quite the contrary, rather. The famous William Shakespeare is a thriving example of this theory; however, there is a main difference between Shakespeareââ¬â¢s fame from the normal rag-to-riches story, and his eminence is most comparable to Van Gogh. During the time when he was alive, his literature was not taken seriously. It was merely viewed as a form of writing not meant to be explored, and much less, praised. Aside from this, he came from an extremely poverty-stricken family, where most of them died from diseases. Also, the quality of education in those days was determined by how much money families could lay down to have their children accepted into pristine schools, which was not possible for the great William Shakespeare. In Shakespearesââ¬â¢ days of inadequate education, he must have had a very strong ambition to become a world-reknown writer and poet. à à à à à As mentioned, Shakespeareââ¬â¢s family was plagued with much sickness, and it spread like wildfire since they were such a large family crammed into a small, musty English cottage. Third-born William was accompanied by his 6 siblings, Joan, Margaret, Gilbert, Amney, Richard, and Edmund. According to ââ¬Å"In the Days of Shakespeareââ¬â¢s Childhood,â⬠most of his siblings lived only into their teen years due to diseases such as yellow fever and malaria. Because of so many child deaths, the exact number of children is debatable, because many died before coming out of infanthood. In fact, when William was born to his parents, John and Mary, he was the first surviving infant. To give an idea of just how many people were affected by various diseases of the time, as stated by John F. Andrews, in 1592, there were 15,000 deaths. This number was significant enough to have the globe theater close down! The home they grew up on was in Stratford-Upon-Avon on Henley Street, a small village that now houses his home as a

Learning experience Essay
When I think about ââ¬Å"Learning Experiences,â⬠I think of every situation someone finds themselves in as a learning experience. People have not traditionally used that phrase in relating to more formal learning interventions ââ¬â i. e. classroom, but from a learnerââ¬â¢s perspective, both formally and informally, thatââ¬â¢s exactly what is happening: learners are experiencing something that, hopefully, results in a change in thinking, understanding, or behavior afterwards. Learning experiences are a way to think about what a learning intervention might be (i.e. ââ¬â its design) in the context of desired end goals and outcomes. This can then inform our choices about how communication channels and modes, learning activities, and resources come together to best support the end goals and outcomes, and also how these channels and activities may evolve over time. Certainly in this context, a learning intervention is something that is much more than what has traditionally been thought of as ââ¬Å"content. â⬠In thinking about what is currently thought of as learning content, I think of something akin to a page from. a textbook (that has its doppelganger in web-based training) with which one ââ¬Å"readsâ⬠and then ââ¬Å"interactsâ⬠with in some way. That definition of learning content and learner interaction represents a very narrow and limited view of what a learning experience can be and usually limits the type of learning to that of recognizing or memorizing specific facts, procedures, and concepts exemplified in the deployment of web- based, self-directed individual learning experiences commonly called e-learning. Learning content can be thought of much more broadly and inclusively. This could mean that learning content could actually include not only the ââ¬Å"whatsâ⬠but the ââ¬Å"howsâ⬠of learning. For example, learning content in the context of learning experiences could contain a collection of specific content resources, content pointers, functional tools or tool pointers, activity descriptions, and assessments that, when brought together, embody a particular pedagogical model. In fact, the reverse could also be learning content ââ¬â a pedagogical model describing the types of learning resources, tools, and activities needed to achieve learning outcomes. So you could think of learning content as collections of pedagogical models and collections of resources that participate in shaping an individualââ¬â¢s learning experience that are aligned with learning outcomes and positive actions that stem from the experience. Another facet of learning content is the artifacts produced during the learning experience. Besides the description above, learning content models should also be collaborative or cooperative with resources and activities supporting the learners working together to produce a learning artifact. A learning artifact couldà be anything based on an authentic learning activity or experience such as a model, computer code, diagram or even the ubiquitous PowerPoint presentation. As these artifacts are created and evaluated during the learning process, they then become learning resources that can be used iteratively for others in similar or more advanced experiences. These ideas allow us to merge knowledge management and single/double loop organizational learning into our concept of learning content. With that view of content and of the learnerââ¬â¢s experience, then itââ¬â¢s no surprise that critics of the pedagogical merits of SCORM view it as being ââ¬Å"limited. â⬠When I think about learning experiences in the context of this effort by ADL, I define them as a model that will allow higher order learning outcomes to be realized. This can occur by expanding on ourà understanding of learning content to include specific collections of learning resources, tools, and activities guided by pedagogical models. This is sometimes conceived as a problem-based, collaborative-based approach shaped and tailored to meet specific learning goals but I believe it is even much more than that. Learning experiences as currently being thought of by ADL will be able to provide an interoperable and reusable means for design and/or self organization of learning activities that are pedagogically sound, allowing the attainment, assessment, and tracking of higher order learning outcomes.

The Need For Energy And Electricity - 952 Words
Humankind has an increasing need for energy and electricity. This is evident in how we live and the overall population. Our lifestyles, especially in developed countries, have a large dependence on ââ¬Ëconveniencesââ¬â¢ that we have come to rely on.Examples of this can range anywhere from expecting lights to be on in a public building or business, the luxuries of indoor plumbing, to items as personal as our cell phones, tablets and computers. The energy for powering these items in the past has traditionally been from non-renewable resources. But as we are getting closer to running out of those, at least for general use, we turn to renewable energy. The most abundant source of raw renewable energy is from the Sun. The amount of solar energy exceeds all other renewable sources combined, and is many times over the actual amount of energy in which humanity needsi. The dilemma is the fact we donââ¬â¢t have the ability in which to harness all the energy emitted. What we can do is to utilize photovoltaic, or PV, panels. These are more commonly known as solar panels. This allows us to capture the energy from the sun as a source of renewable energy that does not emit any carbon emissions. This is important because of the fact our usage of fossil fuels will expire sooner than later, as well as reducing the pollution and other negative effects the extraction and processing of non-renewable energy sources causes. A Comparison between Artists - 641 Words
Art Comparison During the Renaissance period of history, religious icons were a popular theme. Often churches and other religious organizations would pay artists to recreate famous scenes from the Bible which could then be hung in private homes are in churches and cathedrals. Many paintings were done on the very walls of the church, painted into the plaster in a style known as fresco. Religious paintings were also frequently purchased for the home by wealthy patrons. Each artistic work was used to tell a different story and presented in a way which would reflect the ideas and opinions of the church and the surrounding community. Two paintings from the period, the Mà ¨rode Altarpiece by Campin and the Holy Trinity by Masaccio, are both religious works which have a similar purpose, and can be compared by their specific time period and content, the artist who created the pieces and their intentions, and the techniques which were used in creating it. The Holy Trinity was painted between 1425 and 1427 (Lane 1999). In the work Mary and Joseph look at Jesus on the cross and are themselves gazed at by two unidentifiable individuals who stand in positions of prayer. Additionally, a third person inhabits the inner altar where the trio stands. The Mà ¨rode Altarpiece was painted in the earlier portion of the fifteenth century, in approximately 1425 to 1428; therefore the two works were created at the same point during the Renaissance (Haber 2010). The New World Order Research Project free essay sample
A New World Order Society has portrayed zombies as the ââ¬Å"living deadâ⬠. They have no emotions and no thoughts to ones actions. They are controlled by whatever has made them a zombie. Their only objective is to seek blood, or most commonly anything they can eat on a human being. Fortunately, this type of zombie is not the type I am referring too. The type of zombie I am talking about is the one who is controlled by the government. They dont have a hunger for humans, quite frankly they dont have a hunger for anything. They are the ââ¬Å"zombiesâ⬠that live their lives unaware of the things around them, and dont even care that they are unaware for that matter. These ââ¬Å"zombiesâ⬠are created by drugs, the social media, technology, and many more things. There is a reason the government wants this to happen, and that is called The New World Order. The New World Order is a generic term used to refer to a world wide conspiracy being orchestrated by an extremely powerful and influential group of economically-related individuals; which includes: political leaders and some of the worlds wealthiest people (Adachi). Their goal is to create a one world (fascist) government that is obedient to there agenda (Adachi). In other words, they want ââ¬Å"zombiesâ⬠. The New World Order is something we should all be aware of, afraid of, and ready for, because its happening whether we like it or not. Thomas Jefferson once said, ââ¬Å"Single acts of tyranny may be ascribed to the accidental opinion of the day; but a series of oppressions, begun at a distinguished period, and pursued unalterably through ever change of ministers too plainly proves a deliberate, systematic plan of reducing us to slaveryâ⬠(Marrs). What I think he means is that one bad president could be a temporary breach of judgment, but if it is done in repetition by the governments political parties that precisely confirms that there is a plan to reduce us Americans into slavery or ââ¬Å"zombiesâ⬠. These people want total control over every human on the planet. They will go to any lengths to get what they want. Even if it means killing. Take the USA Patriot act for example, which was signed into law by former President George W. Bush, on October 16, 2001, post-9/11. USA PATRIOT is a acronym that stands for Uniting (and) Strengthening America (by) Providing Appropriate Tools Required (to) Intercept (and) Obstruct Terrorism (ââ¬Å"patriot actâ⬠). Basically this law dramatically reduces restrictions on law enforcement agencies ability to search any records of a person if accused of being a terrorist, domestic terrorist also. The law enforcement dont have to give you a trial and can hold you for as long as they want. This violates the First, Fourth, and Fifth Amendments. The government does not care though. They said that it was only to keep us safe from anymore terrorist. Remember this was right after 9/11, which the government states ââ¬Å"was a tragedyâ⬠, but if you ask me I think 9/11 was planned for that sole purpose. Yes, that seems improbable and our country would never do that to us, but it has happened in the past and can happen at any time. The people involved in the New World Order want to reduce population by 2/3. They want a few billion people on this planet who are obedient and submissive to there agenda. On February 17, 1950, as he testified before the US Senate, Zionist banker, Paul Warburg states: ââ¬Å"We will have a world government whether you like it or not. The only question is whether that government will be achieved by conquest or consent. â⬠You have read me referring to the people involved in the New World Order as ââ¬Å"theyâ⬠. So Iââ¬â¢m sure you would like to know who exactly is involved. Mainly the N. W. O. is made up of the leaders of all the major industrial countries like the United States, Italy, England, Germany, etc. A lot of the leaders would be international bankers, pharmaceutical cartels, oil barons, corporate business owners, and the Royal Family of England, particularly Queen Elizabeth II and the House of Windsor are top level players in the oligarchy which controls the upper strata of the N. W. O. (Adachi). Even the United Nations, along with all agencies working under them are full time players. They use the NATO as a military tool (Adachi). Out of all those people though, only hand-picked people who are groomed are even eligible to run for prime minister or presidency. In 1995 when Bill Clinton and Bob Doyle ran against each other it didnt matter who won the presidency because the results would have been the same. The republicans and the democrats are all playing for the same team and that team is the New World Order. If there is someone who doesnt ââ¬Å"follow the rulesâ⬠and tries to do what they want to do they are eliminated from the game: i. e President Kennedy, or Aldo Moro from Italy. Take Ron Paul for example, who wanted to run for president this year, the republican party never let him get any good publicity for the simple fact that he is a strong man of the Constitution. He felt that we should run the country the right way and follow what the constitution wants. He says at the Campaign For Liberty In 2008: ââ¬Å"The last line of defense in support of freedom and the Constitution consists of the people themselves. If the people want to be free, if they want to lift themselves out from underneath a state apparatus that threatens their liberties, squanders their resources on needless wars, destroys he value of the dollar, and spews forth endless propaganda about how indispensable it is and how lost we would all be without it, there is no force that can stop them. (Carlyle). He feels we will not be able to be stopped if us as Americans want whats right for us. The republicans took him out of the spot light because they dont want people getting it in their heads that we should be free to do what the constitution allows us to do. The government doesnt want the constitution, they are little by little taking away rights and are going against what the consti tution says. The way the top players play out there agenda are as simple as problem, reaction, and solution. The people who are strategist for the N.W. O. create a problem. They fund, assemble and train a group of people to make turmoil in a sovereign country. The strategist come up with this conflict and they manipulate it into existence. Once they have the problem they are looking for a desired reaction. When the conflict is made the leader of the sovereign country will be looked at as tyrant or another Hitler. The conflict will be showed to the public as horrific and disturbing, through the mass media. Which then makes people get mad and expect something to be done. Thats where the solution comes into play by sending the military to search for weapons of mass destruction which of course were never even located. After they have their station in that certain country they never leave. The strategist want controlled ground troops in all important countries where the most resistance to the New World Order takeover is expected to go on. (Adachi) As I was doing my research I realized not a lot of people are aware of this topic and whats going on, or they have heard about it but were either to scared to look into or didnt care. The reason why this topic is so unknown is quite simple. It is completely mind boggling! You would never expect any government to create such a complex web of deceit. Most people who hear about this react with disbelief and skepticism . They are oblivious to the fact that this is how they want people to react. We have conditioned to react a certain way by the institutional and media influences. When we hear the word conspiracy we often terminate the idea that a conspiracy like that could even happen. We completely shove it out of question and out of our minds. Everyone needs to be aware of the New World Order, because it is happening, and it has been happening for decades. You dont want to end up like zombies and thoroughly submit to what the government and the new government will want us to do, be, and act. . All Im saying is make yourself useful and be aware of whats going on, and dont try to fight it now, because whether we like it or not its happening, and its alive and well.
